Overview

            Tualatin is a beautiful town south of Portland and to the west of the I-5 corridor. The town is named after the adjacent Tualatin River, a hotspot for recreational activities in the area. There are countless recreational clubs and associations in the area, including the Tualatin Country ClubTualatin Rotary ClubClub Sport, Indoor Soccer Club and many more. Bridgeport Village stands as the central shopping hub in the city, modeled after European outdoor malls with open-air shopping areas, restaurants and pavilions. Only a short drive from downtown Portland, Tualatin has all you need locally and countless things to do within a short driving distance. As of the 2000 census, there were 22,791 residents in Tualatin.

            Tualatin is a rather homogenous area with numerous subdivisions, including Bryant, Far West Clackamas County, Fox Hill, Hazelbrook, Hedges Creek, Ladd Hill, Lake Forest, Lake Grove, Lake View Villas, London Pointe, Morey’s Landing, Mountain Park, Oak CreekSpringbrook Park, Summit Ridge, Waluga, and Westlake.

Events

            Tualatin in home to a host of different cultural events and happenings. Artsplash is an annual art show held in July at the Lake at the Tualatin Commons and showcases local artists in watercolor, acrylics, photography, oil, jewelry and more. Concerts and Movies are also held at The Commons in the summer months. Tualatin also hosts a notable Arbor Day Festival, owing to being named a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation and USDA Forest Service.
